The Medical Society Nominating Committee, chaired by Past President Harish Manyam, MD, presents the slate of Medical Society officers for 2026. Eugene Ryan, MD, Parkridge Hospitalist, will become President (after being elected in December 2024), Michael Nichols, MD, Tennessee Interventional and Imaging Associates, will become President-Elect; Louis Chemin III, MD, Anesthesiology Consultants Exchange, will become Secretary-Treasurer; and Harish Manyam, MD, Erlanger Cardiology, will continue as Immediate Past President.
Under Medical Society bylaws, a single slate of officers is presented and accepted unless at-large nominations are made no later than November 7. At-large nominations can be made by a written petition endorsed by at least five (5) regular members of the Medical Society.
If additional nominations are received via qualified petition a ballot will be distributed to members by mail, e-mail, or fax. In that case, ballots would be due at the Medical Society no later than November 28.
If no additional nominations are received, Medical Society Secretary Harsha Vardhana, MD, will cast an affirmative vote accepting the slate on behalf of the membership.
Officers and board members will be installed on January 15 at the annual Presidents’ Reception.
