About Karen Baird

Karen Baird, CPC, CPMA, joined the Tennessee Medical Association as Director of Insurance Affairs in January 2018. She is TMA’s in-house expert on federal and state health insurance policies and reform. She manages commercial and government health insurance plan relations, provide informational and policy assistance to advocacy and education staff and help TMA member physicians resolve payer-related administrative and reimbursement hassles.

Karen brings more than 30 years of healthcare administrative experience to TMA, most recently as office manager with Midtown Primary Care Clinic in Nashville. She is a certified professional coder and medical auditor, and is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Professional Coders, National Alliance of Medical Auditing Specialists and others.


Parking for Chambliss, Bahner, & Stophel:

You may find on-street parking in the area, or you can park in the Liberty Garage (which is located on 6th Street next to the YMCA) or the Republic Center Garage (located on Chestnut Street between Republic Centre and Republic Plaza. 

At the entrance to either garage, push the blue button to pull a ticket and open the gate.  Park in any space not marked “Reserved.”  Bring the ticket with you and present your ticket to the receptionist for validation. You will need to insert the validated ticket or pay with a debit or credit card to exit the garage.

Please Do NOT park across the street from Chambliss in the Liberty Tower visitor parking.
